I recently had a conversation with a friend about her feeling stressed at work. She loves her job, the people she works with, and and the industry she’s working in, but just can’t seem to get to that place where it’s all balanced.
How about you, are you feeling stressed? Do you recognize the impact stress is having on you? You may think illness is to blame for that nagging headache, your frequent insomnia or your decreased productivity at work. But stress may actually be the culprit.
My friend and I talked a bit about activities she can do to renew and refresh. My question to you is how do you achieve that renewal? In a post I wrote last year, I talked about creating your own space. Does relaxing in that space help you to renew? How about a walk or bike ride? Making dinner? Meeting with friends after work?
I encourage you to think about ways you can achieve the balance you need to stay refreshed, renewed and centered.
